Our Ministry
Christian Service Brigade has been a ministry of Christian men to boys for over 70 years. Its partner ministry, GEMS, was developed to serve as a ministry of Christian women to girls. Working through local churches across North America, we seek to encourage men and women to lead life-changing programs for boys and girls of all ages.
What We Do
Our mission is to grow godly men of today and tomorrow by providing programs where young men and boys connect with Christian men who care about them and mentor them in life and faith.
This network of committed men share a common burden of bringing boys to Christ, and then training them for his service. As a ministry, we’re trying to:
- Guide boys to the Lord
- Guide boys to the Word of God
- Guide boys to Christian maturity
- Guide boys to the local church
Unique Features
While our programs have many things in common with other youth ministries, we also have several unique features:
Gender-specific.
Studies show that boys and girls are different - not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. In partnership with the local church, our programs provide an atmosphere where boys can learn what it means to be a man of God from godly Christian men. GEMS applies this same principle in discipling girls.
Focus on evangelism and discipleship.
Our motto is “Winning and Training Boys for Christ.” We introduce boys to Christ and then we disciple them, helping them grow strong in the Lord and in His Word. We also offer opportunities for your church to minister to the families of the boys who attend CSB Ministries programs.
Build leaders.
Our program takes boys a step further - developing them into the leaders of tomorrow. It’s not just an evening of fun and games, even though that’s an important part of our programs! We help you develop leaders by intentionally mentoring them in leadership and giving them leadership roles within the program with increasing levels of responsibility. When they leave the program, our goal is for them to serve in one of the CSB programs your church offers, or to take on leadership roles in other areas of the church.
Our Relationship with Partnering Churches
CSB Ministries is committed to assisting the church in preparing leaders and boys for Christian life, witness and service; providing personal consultation for church leadership; making available effective ministry tools and
training for leaders and boys; and establishing and maintaining high standards and quality service.
